Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) Program

sap counselingMichael J. Skoda, M.A., LPCC-S, LICDC, ICADC, SAP is a fully-qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). He evaluates employees/individuals who have a U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT) drug and/or alcohol violation. A recommendation is then made for education or treatment that the employee must complete prior to returning to safety-sensitive duties.

The fee for the DOT/SAP Program can be paid by either cash or credit card.

The United States Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT) regulation – 49 CFR Part 40 – defines the Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) as a person who evaluates employees who have violated a U.S. DOT drug and alcohol regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.
