MICHAEL J. SKODA, M.A., LPCC-S, LICDC, ICADC, SAP is a highly respected, dynamic and versatile nationally certified clinical counselor and hypnotherapist/hypnotist. He is also an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and is a fully-qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). Mike has successfully conducted and perfected hypnosis stop smoking and weight loss wellness sessions and seminars. Mike sees many clients for weight loss, smoking cessation, stress, pain, drug & alcohol addictions, as well as many other diverse applications of clinical hypnosis.
Mike has enjoyed the unique opportunity to foster healing and hope in his work as a master guide taking clients down paths of recovery, clarity, and personal growth & empowerment.
Counselor Skoda was awarded the master-of-arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University. Afterwards, Mike completed advanced post-graduate training at The Wellness Institute in clinical hypnotherapy/hypnosis. Counselor Skoda also completed post-graduate advanced training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy at The Cleveland Center for Cognitive Therapy. Mike currently sees clients in Willoughby and North Olmsted, OH. He also facilitates various support groups on meditation, and runs a divorce support group.
